My Promised Land

Dr. Martin Luther King's last message ended like this... "Well, I don't know what will happen now. We've got some difficult days ahead. But it really doesn't matter with me now, because I've been to the mountaintop. And I don't mind. Like anybody, I would like to live - a long life; longevity has its place. But I'm not concerned about that now. I just want to do God's will. ...And He's allowed me to go up to the mountain. And I've looked over. And I've seen the Promised Land. I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the Promised Land. So I'm happy, tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man. Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord"

Which side of the mountain are you on?

We just had 8 years of who I would consider the best Presidents of my life time, Barack Obama. So I refuse to regress, I refuse to forget the sacrifice my ancestors made, I will not go back on the other side of that Mountain. I will live my life in my Promised Land, on the right side of the mountain, will you join me?

It's not easy, we will all be faced with difficult days ahead, we will make mistakes. The bible didn't say it would be easy.

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
